A French brass gong striking carriage clock dating to the end of the 19th Century. It has a "corniche" case with an oval top window with a bevel edge glass, a white enamel dial with Roman numerals, signed by the original retailers Bonner & Co of Brighton.The 8 day movement sounds the hours on a gong. The clock bears the stamp for the makers Richard of Rue de Bondy 32, Paris.
The case has been polished and lacquered so that it will not tarnish, the movement which benefits from a replacement lever platform has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this clock striking please email us.
