Two wooden statues carved in the round with gilded wood and polychrome lacquered by a total height of 130 cm including a marble base of 80 cm for a total of 210 cm depicting two male figures of the Tuscan school of the late '600.

I show with great pleasure and enthusiasm this splendid couple in wood sculpted in the round, a real jewel for lovers of the high era and sculptures in particular.

Immediate is the emotion that is felt in observing works as expressive as strength charges, as can be seen from the faces of the two figures in question and their poses.

The two works of art have been worked and conceived with vigor in the wood around in the early 16th century. They are depicted standing, with the body and face picked up frontally, in an almost sacred attitude, with a movement of the body and of the harmonious drapery, sweet and wavy with a result of a highly dramatic style, full of strength.

Extraordinary for works of this era is the presence of much of their original polychrome, marked by a thick craquelé. We can say that for the time and conservation they are collectible objects, rare almost unique in their expression and for the measurements.

The qualitative level of this work evident both in the virtuosistic pose of the young and in the analytical rendering of anatomical and expressive data is enhanced more in the pose chiastic, chosen specifically to bring out these two figures, in which they correspond the opposite arm and leg, concludes the elegant realization of the body.

The expression of the look highlights the genuineness and the sweetness of these two statues; noteworthy are some details of the composition, among which the rendering of the hair rather than the weave of the drapery and the intense expressiveness of the faces and the vivid colors of the garments and cloaks.

This item, like all our objects, is sold accompanied by a certificate of photographic authenticity; this document identifies the object by adding more value to the article.
