18th Century Georgian Mahogany Bureau


An 18th century George III mahogany bureau.

The bureau has four graduated drawers, ogee feet and a serpentine inlaid interior.

The four drawers have cock beaded edges, pine linings, steel locks and brass swan neck handles.

The interior has eight inlaid mahogany fronted serpentine shaped drawers with brass knob handles and pigeon holes above.

The centre of the interior has a blind fret work carved door with side pillars, the pillars and steps in front of the doors are secret compartments.

The bureau is in very good original condition.
