A good example of a Gregorian telescope, so named after its inventor James Gregory, 1638-1675. The shagreen cased Scope with external focus adjustment on a finely turned brass Stand with folding tripod base of superb quality. Retaining its original palladium mirror; a rare white metal discovered in 1803, element symbol Pd, atomic number 46.
Good, some wear to shagreen as shown.
