As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this fine Edo period 18th century boxwood Japanese netsuke , the netsuke depicts a character known as Shoki who has been capyured by the artist in windswept pose , he carries a club in his right hand which he uses to ward off demons (he is commonly known as the demon queller ), a lovely original 18th century netsuke for your collection direct from our private clients collection .
