A rare and very attractive mid 18th century painted ash and elm comb-back Windsor armchair, with much early green and brown paint remaining, with shaped cresting rail over a finely formed vase-shaped splat, and a slender arm bow over a generous saddle-shaped seat. The well-drawn cabriole front legs and turned rear legs are joined by a turned "H" stretcher.
