Original vintage travel advertising poster for the Great Northern Railway G.N.R. For the Business Man – Speed, Comfort, Convenience. Great image showing smartly dressed business men in suits travelling in a GNR train carriage with a black and white view of St Paul's Cathedral in London and more views in Yorkshire and Scotland in the windows, the men in the foreground working with one sitting next to an open briefcase and the other smoking a cigar and writing a letter, more men visible in each booth and a waiter walking with a tray towards the next carriage, a G.N.R locomotive speeding by below with the text in stylised green and white letters. The Great Northern Railway (GNR) was established in 1846 providing train services from London King's Cross station; in 1923 it became part of the London and North Eastern Railway (LNER).
