1920s Silver and Enamel Box (c. 1926 European)

All pieces stamped with import marks for London 1926.

A fantastic quality vintage sterling silver ladies compact and aide memoire. Very rare. The exterior is stunningly decorated with stripes of engine turned silver with geometric lozenges, the top and bottom being enamelled with blue and cream stripes. The interior is fully gilded and inside the top there is a mirror which drops down to reveal a compartment and an ivory notepad. In the bottom there are 2 separate compartments with lift up lids. Outside, at one end there is a pull out pencil. Probably Swiss or Austrian.
