An original wooden De Havilland 5208/A propeller from a Gipsy III engine used on a Puss Moth, retro-fitted with a striking 8-day clock movement.

The mechanical clock is faced with a 5-inch white metal dial, behind a silvered bezel fitted with flat beveled glass. It has a quality 8-day movement with a platform escapement. It has a regulation slot above the XII.

The blade measures 66" (170cms) with a maximum width of 8" (20cms)
Overhauled and guaranteed for 3 years.
The person selling this to us, when he was given this as a child, was told that it came off the plane flown by Amy Johnson. There is no proof that this was in fact the very propeller, but certainly it was in existence around about the time that Amy Johnson she set an England to Japan record in a Puss Moth with Jack Humphreys, in July 1931.
