Original vintage LNER poster for England & Scotland by London and North Eastern Railway featuring a dynamic image of a steam train with a large LNER wing flying along a cliff reflected in the sea below with stylised text at the top and bottom. Artwork by Ladislas Freiwirth (b 1895). The London and North Eastern Railway (LNER; 1923-1948) operated train services between London and Scotland including East Anglia, York, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Inverness and Aberdeen. Their flagship locomotive was the Flying Scotsman (1923-1963; restored and now located at the National Railway Museum).
Very good condition, restored minor creases and one small hole, backed on linen.
