Original vintage travel advertising poster for Imperial Airways - One of the 28 Empire Flying Boats 2 decks, 200 miles an hour, 18 tons - Imperial Airways / Europe / Africa / India / The Far East / Australia. Great design showing details of a plane cut out including an airline pilot captain and radio operator on the upper deck used for navigation, controls and storage, and passengers on the lower deck that includes a smoking cabin, sitting and sleeping cabin areas and a kitchen with the mail and luggage hold at the rear of the plane, the cut-out plane flying in front of mountains with a plane on the sea next to a ship below. Imperial Airways (1924-1939) was an early British airline company that merged into BOAC (British Overseas Airways Corporation; now British Airways). Printed by printed by Ben Johnson & Co. Ltd., London. Horizontal.
Good condition, restored loss along top margin and on bottom right margin, light staining, backed on linen.
