Autumn Afternoon, Sutton Park
A lovely watercolour showing the rich golden brown tones of Autumn as the leaves turn. John Keeley was a well known British landscape painter, born at Morton in Marsh, Gloucestershire. He trained under Edward Watson of Birmingham and exhibited hundreds of paintings at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists where he became a full member in 1902. His paintings were also exhibited at the Royal Academy, The Royal Institute, The Royal Society of British Artists, Suffolk Street Galleries etc. A lovely painting, signed lower right, presented within a glazed wood frame with washline mount, title panel set into the mount. Inscription verso with gallery label for The Lower Nupend Gallery, Worcestershire
