Fantastic marble sculpture representing a young lady delicately placing her bare feet in the water while turning herself as if surprised by a viewer. Nude shoulders, light dress, she sits on a wonderful Corinthian capital. White Carrara marble. Signed Ferdinando Andreini on the terrace.

Dim: H 110 cm x W 48cm x D 63cm

Italian School of the second part of the 19th century. Presented on a large modern white marble base.

Andreini was the pupil of Ulisse Cambi. He was active in Florence where he sculpted in 1860 the bust of king Victor Emmanuel for the Hall of the main station of the city.
