Manufactured by Ellis in 1880s, this set of three glazing posts would be used to embellish the exterior of some of the most decorative buildings in Britain including lawn edgings and air bricks. Stylistically they are from the Aesthetic Movement when all things Japanese were popular and Oscar Wilde was one of London's most popular playwrights.

Being made to order, those fireclay posts are very rare to find and would have likely been owned by a large family estate. Two of them are stamped "Woodman Sanitary Pipe Co. Ltd. Elland." They were made completely Frost proof and feature a bottom interior entry to slip on top of a round metal post . These would complement interior or exterior design in a uniquely English way.

Price is per item, 2 available.
