A fine example of an early 19thc Prattware Pearlware Peacock Jug, compressed ovoid shape, the group of Peacocks are different on each side and set within a leaf bordered "sunburst" oval medallion. The Acanthus and Lily border featured on these jugs also appears on Adams marked Jasper Ware, 1787-1805, and a very similar border can be seen on a Wedgewood Flower basket dated 1810. This Jug is in excellent original condition. English. C1800-10.
