This rare life-size carved and polychrome painted tobacconist's figure in the form of a Scottish Highlander taking snuff.

Good, wear consistent with age.
The original of this particular Highland model reputedly stood outside a tobacconist in Edinburgh circa 1720 to signify that they not only supplied snuff and tobacco but that Jacobite supporters were welcome on the premises.
