An Antique Silver lidded Tankard made the reign of Charles II. This elegant tankard is of plain tapering cylindrical form with a spreading collet style foot. The surface of the main body is embellished with the impressive “Coat of Arms of Hugh Bateman 1616-1682 of Derby (utter Barrister of Gray’s Inn” ) The hinged lid is of flat form . The S scrolled handle is engraved with Dna, AT, Legavit HB . Height 4.5 11.4 cm , base 5 inches 12.7 cm weight 21 oz.
