A fine late 18th century Derby porcelain ice pail with its original interior dish. This fine piece retains its original lid with its circular handle and has a shallow bowl on the inside. The decoration is in gold with stringing and dots around the top interwoven with scrolling bands of blue flowers which mirror the decoration on the body of the ice pail.

There are two oval panels on either side depicting views of Leek in Staffordshire and a farmhouse at Breadsall in Derbyshire; painted by Zachariah Boreman. Painted in blue script on the underside with the Derby blue crown and cross swords mark. and a gilded 62 for the workman's mark
