A gouache on paper scene of a Colonial building. It may have been a private commission and shows the owners house. This picture has a label on the back for Eyre and Hobhouse who describe it as a street scene, possibly the outskirts of Trichinopoly' and notes that it was exhibited as part of the exhibition 'Bengal Palladian and the picturesque' in November '32.

The photo of a white painted colonial building shows the similarity in architectural style, the colonnaded veranda and open breezy design suited to the soaring temperatures of India.
