The box is oval in form and is decorated in a most unusual manner. The cover and base display an outer band of Greek Key designs, and the sides display a central twisted rope work band enclosed by prick dot bands. The box is very well made and displays a concealed hinge. The box has a steel grater and the interior is unusually gilded. This example is very well marked.
