with an upholstered back flanked by down-swept arms and acanthus leaf carving, raised on 'bamboo' turned splayed front legs and splayed back legs, giltwood beading throughout. Seat height: 18"
Wear consistent with age.
Thomas Hibbert of Chalfont Park, Buckinghamshire. Possibly supplied in 1799-1800 during the remodelling of the house by John Nash.
