A fine Queen Anne period walnut double-dome bureau-cabinet, the domed moulded cornice with three later gilded finials above shaped and beveled, later mirror doors with engraved stars to the plates, opening to reveal an elaborate interior, the upper part with two hinged domed flaps, above pigeon holes with a central recess with further pigeon holes and drawers and flanked by columns with Corinthian capitals either side of folio compartments, all above three further drawers and candle-slides, the crossbanded bureau fall opening to reveal a fitted interior of pigeon holes, stepped and concave drawers, columns and a centre door with a leather lined writing slide, above two short and two long drawers with later handles and escutcheons, the piece raised on later bun feet.
