A Fine Set of Four Louis XVI Style Five-Light Gilt-Bronze Wall Appliqués by François Linke after the model by F. T. Germain. This important set of wall appliqués are finely cast as naturalistic fronded and scrolling acanthus with foliate candle nozzles after the F. T. Germain model of 1766, now at the J. Paul Getty Museum.

Christopher Payne illustrates an identical wall aplliqué and relates that Linke produced this design in 1900 with the intention of exhibiting the model at the Exposition Universelle of that year. They were not finished on time for the exposition but Linke was to hold the model in high regard; buying back the pair he had supplied to his important client Elias Meyer in 1909, for his own private use.
