These are a fine set of four sauce tureens made by Paul Storr. Each tureen has a partly fluted oval pedestal foot with foliate shell borders and acanthus leaf side handles. The covers have detachable double acanthus scroll handle

Each side of the tureens are engraved with coat-of-arms, the cover with crest. They are all fully marked below rim, inside cover and on detachable handle.

The arms are those of Beaumont almost certainly for Colonel Thomas Richard Beaumont M.P. (1758-1829) of Hexham Abbey, Northumberland.
