A fine set of George II mahogany hall chairs made for Sir Thomas Bootle for the banqueting hail at Lathom House, Lancashire and almost certainly executed by William Masters, the shield shaped backs each inlaid with Sir John Bootle’s armorial crest depicting a lion wreathed with foliage, the shaped dished seats raised on shaped legs also with dished centres.
