Look at what I found on the Online Galleries website!
The gueridon has an oval top inlaid with foliate marquetry, within a three-quarter pierced gallery, above a conforming frieze fitted with a single drawer. It is raised on slender cabriole legs each headed by fine gilt-bronze mounts and united by a galleried undertier. The legs terminate in acanthus cast sabots.
This fine gueridon, or side table, is based on the design for a 'table a ecrire' by the celebrated 18th century master Roger Vandercruse, dit Lacroix (R.V.L.C) (maître in 1755).
