Item Description / Dealer Expertise

A French 19th century walnut veneered bureau plat, the walnut quarter veneered top has a broad band of kingwood crossbanding edged with ormolu leafed pattern moulding with below two dummy drawers to either side of a single working drawer all in an exagerrated serpentine form with kingwood crossbanding to the drawers, the reverse similarly treated but all dummy drawers supported on four French S shaped veneered cabriole legs with gilded mounts heading the legs which terminate in ormolu sabots.
