Slightly bombé circular on stepped circular foot, with moulded borders, the body engraved below the rim with a border of scrolling shells, rocaille and foliage, with two cartouches enclosing a coat-of-arms and a crest, the underside with presentation inscription 'The Gift of Mrs Eliz. Austen 1744.*'

The arms are those of Wynne impaling Gosling, for Robert Wynne Esq. (1698-1771) of Garthewin, co. Denbigh, and his first wife Diana (d.1747), née Gosling.
