The Salver is circular in form and stands on three panel feet which are decorated with beading and scrolls, as well as floral designs. The raised rim displays an applied beaded edge and the main body is beautifully engraved with an outer bright cut band enclosing scroll work, floral garlands and paterae. The centre of the salver is engraved with an oval bright cut cartouche, containing a contemporary Armorial. The Salver is in very crisp condition and is very well marked on the reverse. Crouch and Hannam were specialist makers of Trays and Salvers, of fine quality, with workshops at 23, Giltspur Street, when this salver was made.
