This very rare Vinaigrette is modelled as an articulated fish. The surface is engraved with detailed scale work and the end with the head and fins. This piece also has a finely detailed tail and top fin. The head opens up to reveal a gilded interior and hinged grille, pierced and engraved with foliate motifs. These fish vinaigrettes are unusually unmarked, however this piece has a full set of hall marks on the tail and a maker's mark on the underside of the grille. The Vinaigrette also has its original suspensory ring attached to the head.

Length: 3.5 inches
