A charming mid 18th century Chippendale period straight fronted chest of drawers. The crossbanded top with moulded edge above brushing slide and four graduated drawers unusually having aromatic cedar lining and having original elaborate swan-neck handles throughout with spiral twist column insert; on moulded plinth terminating in ogee bracket feet.

The use of aromatic cedar is highly unusual but very practical as a repellent against clothes moths. The mahogany on this beautiful chest has faded to an outstanding colour.

Note: The feet have been extended.

Price: £10,000-£50,000
