A George III red Moroccan Wallet with silver and enamel mounts, circa 1800: the interior with a pair of silver and enamel mounted scent bottles, a silver ended pencil, a folding mother of pearl mounted fruit knife with silver and steel blades [the silver blade marked by Joseph Taylor of Birmingham], silver tweezers, bodkin and toothpick and steel scissors. An otherwise blank pocket book inside the wallet has the following pencil inscription 'This Pocket Book was given Me by John Canning on Saturday June the 14th and left London on Sunday Morning between 9 and 10 June the 15th 1800...'
Good. A chip to the enamel on the clasp. Some damage to textile mount of mirror. Stitching loose on part of the interior compartment.
