The box was made, most probably, in London and is rectangular in form with rounded ends. The cover is beautifully inlaid with a trailing floral and foliate spray and lattice work bands. The base displays a floral sprig and this piece has a gold thumbpiece. The interior has its original mirror and red velvet lining.
