This is an exceptional example of a silver tea urn made by the Royal silversmith to the King, Paul Storr. The urn is on four scroll feet decorated with shells flanked by acanthus and supporting a square plinth with cut corners and partly lobed circular base. The lower body is chased with gadroons below an engraved later monogram and large vine form handles terminating in foliage. The spout has been expertly formed and sculpted as a bird head and neck. The tea urn is marked throughout.
