The dial signed A. Dubois FANT. / Rue de Rivoli 20 / PARIS.
This fine mantel clock has a circular white enamel chapter ring with Roman Numerals surmounted by a subsidiary calendar dial indicating day, date, equation of time and cycle of the moon. The clock incorporates a silvered aneroid barometer dial beneath the main clock face and has a thermometer and compass set to the base. The dial is supported by finely cast gilt-bronze caryatid figures standing on a plinth base.
The clock has an eight day movement with circular plates and twin barrels, striking on a bell.
