A good portrait of an Officer of the 96th Regiment

The 96th Regiment (Queen’s Own Germans) was originally the Minorca Regiment. It was disbanded in 1818 and re-established in 1824. Between 1849-1854 the regiment was stationed in Calcutta which was under the control of the East India Company.
