Rudolph Akermann’s ‘Repository of the Arts’ published between 1809 and 1827 refers to this style as ‘Grecian’, and a very similar model is illustrated

Constructed in oak, and pollard oak, the strong swept front legs with carved inset stylised cornucopia having lions paw feet of high quality, the front rail with a Grecian tablet motif, and roll over arms. Re-upholstered.
