A group of unframed Silhouettes and Paper-cuts from the family of Lady Laetitia Booth, widow and second wife of the Rev. Sir George Booth [died 1797] of Cotterstock Hall and cousin of the Earl of Warrington. Lady Booth was the grand-daughter and co-heiress of John Rose of Cotterstock. Sophia Rose, the sister of Laetitia, married the Rev. Nevil Maskelyne, whose sister Margaret married Robert Clive [of India]. Lady Laetitia Booth died in 1823 and her estate passed to her niece Margaret Maskelyne.
Dimensions: the silhouette of Lady Booth 10.9 cm. x7.3cm., the sleeve containing the cut papers 15.9 x 8.9cm.
Good overall with some creasing and folding to the paper. Minor damage and folding to the paper-cuts.
