The print bears the following inscription:
This Likeness of his most excellent and venerable
Majesty KING GEORGE THE THIRD
in the fiftieth year of his reign
Is by permission Dedicated to His Royal Highness
the PRINCE of WALES and all the Loyal Subjects
of the BRITISH EMPIRE, by their most obliged and very humble Servant, CHARLES ROSENBERG.
Stadler born in Germany worked in England between 1780-1812 as a prolific engraver. He produced at least two aquatints of George III after silhouettes by Rosenberg. This print dated 1810 is after an equestrian portrait and shows Windsor Castle in the background.
