Decorated in the finest gold togidashi with a recumbent stag holding a branch of reishi fungus in its mouth and looking up at two wheeling bats, all contained in a lunette formed by a surround of gold togidashi with ragged outer edge. The interior is lacquered vermilion, the underside of the cover with a small temple in a mountain landscape, the base with pine trees and clouds depicted in gold lacquer.
