A large pair of Austrian silver mounted enamelled vases, circa 1880, maker's mark of Hermann Böhm.
Hallmarked with the maker's mark and town mark. The vases of ovoid form, painted with mythological scenes including Perseus holding Medusa's head, on a pale pink ground painted with butterflies and snails among scrolling foliage. The silver mounts applied with pierced and enamelled gryphons and masks among scrolling foliage. The vases with gryphon handles in bold enamel colour.
