A truly magnificent, compact English bacon settle of panel and frame construction, all, including drawer linings in elm. The deep cornice over two shallow doors, over two long doors enclosing the hanging area which retains its original iron rail and its suspension hooks. The arms are well scrolled, their supports well turned and the seat area encloses two drawers. This article is of a superlative, indeed sensational colour and is one of the finest pieces of quintessential English country furniture that we have ever handled.
