A rare Arts & Crafts stained oak cabinet, designed by Leonard F. Wyburd (1865-1958) for Liberty & Co. The upper section inscribed with a hand formed copper motto, 'READ NOT TO BELIEVE & TAKE FOR GRANTED BUT TO WEIGH & CONSIDER,' above a pair of open shelves, the upper with a row of pierced gothic arches. These shelves are flanked to the left by a register of two open shelves and to the right by a register of two shelves enclosed by a glazed door of triskelion form. The whole is supported upon a lower section, comprising a register of three open shelves, inset with a solid door with stylised metalwork fittings.
