This fine kingwood and cube parquetry writing table has a gilt-bronze banded serpentine crossbanded top, above a single frieze drawer, and a dummy drawer to the reverse. The desk is fitted to each side with a leather-lined pull-out writing slides and is raised on cabriole legs headed by gilt-bronze foliate clasps terminating in acanthus sabots.
