A Louis XVI gilt bronze mounted stained fruitwood, boxwood and ebony small occasional table by Roger Vandercruse, called Lacroix, circa 1775.

The rectangular has a three-quarter gilt bronze gallery and is veneered with alternating stripes of green-stained and yellow marquetry imitating silk framing a circular rosette. The similarly veneered frieze has a leather-lined writing slide and opens at one end with a drawer and rests on square tapering legs ending in gilt bronze sabots and casters. Stamped on the underside, R LACROIX JME, the interior of the drawer with a printed label Sold at Town & Emanuel Repository of the Arts 103 New Bond Street and at Paris.
