An adjustable artist's easel in mahogany by Charles Roberson & Co, 1840-1907.
When Charles Roberson split with Miller in 1839, he kept their premises at 51 Long Acre. Roberson's enjoyed a wide ranging reputation throughout the Victorian era and exhibited at the Great Exhibition of 1851. By the end of the 19th century they employed their own agents in Paris and in 1889 they had opened a further branch in Piccadilly.
