The drawing of the birds and flowers in this fragment is comparable to that on a tapestry depicting a Shepherd and Shepherdess Making Music in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (Accession Number: 67.155.8), itself related to tapestries in the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Mobilier National, Paris. A fragment in room 94 of the Victoria & Albert Museum (Museum number: 232-1894), and a tapestry in the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Accession Number 34.4), also bear comparison in the treatment of the mille fleurs motifs.
With restorations. Mounted on linen on a stretcher.
