, thirty-nine (of forty) plates. Modern half-calf and (old) combed and curled marbled paper over boards, with original endpapers, smooth back, author and title in gilt to spine. Externally very good, internally expert marginal paper repairs to many fore-edges and corners, but not affecting text or engravings, some old water staining to first few leaves, but with good impressions. Lacking plate IV, which was seemingly not available to the earlier binder as a note on the front endpaper reads, Dec. 13. 1723 Collat. & imperfect G.J. Wright. The imprint is a pasted on a cancel slip and the imprint at the foot of the engraved portrait (plate I) is dated 1674, with the original date of 1669 partially erased. The full imprint reads 'Printed for Robert Pricke at the Ball in St. Pauls Church-Yard, next Cheap-side; Where you may have Choice of other Books of Architecture; And also Maps, Copy-books, Books of Beasts, Birds, Flowers, Fruits; Likewise Italian, French and Dutch Prints'. The ESTC shows eight copies worldwide of the earlier impression, this reissue appears to be unrecorded
