A pair of Japanese imari Vases of baluster form and decorated with panels of birds, dragons and fish amidst peonies and a scrolling foliate ground enriched with gilding.
For sake of accuracy we must say that the glaze of the two vases is slightly dissimilar ( this is due to different temperature inside the kiln at the time of firing), one appears to have a more pronounced craquelure but that is, honestly, hardly noticeable.
Conditions: very good, one has an hairline crack of ca. 10 cm starting at the nech and going through the body but not easy to see
