A Pair of Bresche Violette Urns (c. 1850 to c. 1860 France)

This decorative pair of urns are French, C.1860, in the Louis XV style.
They are made from a violet coloured marble known as Bresche Violette, and are mounted in bronze with original gilding. The handles are modelled as swans holding swags of flowers and they have removable lids.
